31 - Shooting Schedule

As you can see, I have already taken some photos for my magazine, however, these are not the ones I want to use for my final production and where just to gain an idea of what worked well and getting used to the editing programme and equipment so when I finally take my final photos they'll be of a better quality. I have many ideas of what I want to create, so to ensure I have a fair idea of what I'm doing, I've decided to create a shooting shedule to make sure I know what I'm doing and when. I think I will take pictures in a few locations because I have a few ideas, however, to begin with, I shall start with one and then build on that in future time.

For my double page spread idea, I have decided to go with the idea of 'upcoming artists' as this was a main aspect my focus group wanted me to focus on. For this, I need to get original pictures somehow. I wanted to create a 'gig' feel as I feel like new artists often start at the bottom performing at little venues and gigs to smaller crowds. Luckily, this Saturday, I am actually going to a gig of an indie artist so I am able to take the type of pictures I want for my final double page spread. I understand that this may be difficult due to the surrounding, but this is the feel I want to create and I want people to feel as if they were actually there so it's the perfect oppotunity. Unforchantly, this means I will then have to take photos at the different locations at a different point,  but this means I have more time and won't have to rush them meaning better quality.

PLAN

3.00; Get ready to travel, ensuring the people I'm going with are suitably dressed to enable me to fit the indie ideology still so the images look better. Also, making sure they have suitable clothing after looking at my risk assesment as we will be stood outside for a while and it may be cold.
3.30; Travel to Birmingham early to enable we get near the front of the queue.
4.30; Queue up and begin looking for oppotunities to take photos; eg. Of the queue itself to gain an idea of commited fans and what they'll do to see artisits and the passion they have.
5.30; Continue taking photos, asking people if they wouldn't mind me taking photos of them enjoying themself, looking forward to the gig.
6.00; Get inside the venue and continue waiting for the music to start!
6.15; Take pictures of the crowd building up, get many different angles
7.00; As the music starts, take pictures of the artists and them obviouisly playing.
10.30 - 11.00; Leave and travel home with my successful images!

I aim to take photos at every oppotunity to enable that I have many to chose from and can pick the best one for my magazine.
